The Community Health Outreach Program provides education and HIV prevention services to communities heavily impacted by HIV/AIDS, aligning with the Kenyan government’s goal of testing all at-risk adults. MRA’s voluntary HIV counseling and testing (VCT) campaigns target underserved rural areas, where poverty and existing health issues increase mortality rates. Despite challenges in sustaining VCT efforts, the program also organizes health fairs, mobile clinics, and medical missions. With support from U.S. medical professionals, these missions deliver patient care, training, community outreach, and administrative support to strengthen Kenyan healthcare.
