Kenya
Position Title: Goat Project Field Service Coordinator

- Location: Transmara District, Kenya
- Starting Salary: Kshs. 7,200 per month
- Tenure: Performance based with monthly outcomes

Core Responsibilities:
- Provides field support to beneficiaries of Goat Hope program and maintains weekly communication via phone and/or email with founder and board members in USA.
Other Responsibilities:
- Functions as main contact of Medical Relief Alliance in Transmara District Maintains records for all dairy goats include health, births, deaths, purchases etc
- Completes and submits monthly reports to founders
- Collaborates with government officials and veterinary officers to expand the project
- Travels extensively to visit with each beneficiary at least on a weekly basis
- Travels to Tanzania upon request to complete site visits
- Facilitates beneficiaries monthly meetings including taking minutes
- Functions as the organizations public relations officer in Transmara and other parts of Kenya
- Creates and sustains partnerships and networks with individuals and organizations that can advance the mission of the organization and the projects
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Must be nominated by current Goat Hope beneficiaries
- Must have access to a phone and internet
- Ability to speak English and Kiswahili
- Knowledge of livestock rearing practices
- Ability to complete reports in a timely and accurate manner
- Creative and ability to advocate on behalf of beneficiaries with local government, companies and the Transmara community at large
- Ability to travel locally and into other countries

Position Title: Goat Farm Manager

Reports To: Regional Director
- Location: Embu, Kirinyaga District, Kenya
- Starting Salary: 30,000 – 50,000 KShs per month
- Tenure: Performance based with monthly outcomes

Core Responsibilities:
- Enhance and expand dairy goat farm processes and effectively manage a team of 2-4 farm assistants. The goal of the incumbent is to participate in expanding a goat herd of 40 dairy goats to 300 dairy goats in 48-months through births and purchase initiatives.
- S/he ensures production of 150 liters of milk are produced, stored and processed on a daily basis and grows this initiative to over 1000 liters of milk daily in 48-months. Must be able to present and implement their plan of annually doubling milk production.
Other Responsibilities:
- Take responsibility for the goat herd expansion
- Supervise feeding, milking, reproduction, births, treatment, purchase, etc of dairy goats on a daily basis
- Hire and train farm assistants
- Provide purchasing, record keeping and account reconciliation for farm
- Participate in community based initiatives of the farm when requested by Regional Director
- Maintain safety and security of goat herds at all times
- Creates and sustains partnerships and networks with individuals and organizations that can advance the mission of the organization and the projects
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Experience working with organic farm methods
- Experience managing livestock farms, dairy goat farm experience preferred
- Experience working with rural community development projects
- Desire to work in a values-driven nonprofit organization
- Handy, great communicator, full of integrity

Tanzania

- Functions as the organizations public relations officer in Ruvuma and greater Tanzania
- Creates and sustains partnerships and networks with individuals and organizations that can advance the mission of the organization and the projects
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Member of Kindimba Juu Village in good standing
- Must be nominated by current Goat Hope beneficiaries and seconded by TZ MRA project Coordinator
- Must have access to a phone and internet
- Ability to speak English and Kiswahili
- Knowledge of livestock rearing
- Ability to complete reports in a timely and accurate manner
- Creative ability to advocate on behalf of beneficiaries with local government, companies and the Ruvuma community at large
- Ability to travel locally and into other countries
